The grave of Lue Gim Gong was unmarked for about five years until a member of the New York State Historical Society came to DeLand, found the unmarked site and, after returning to New York, collected sufficient funds for the present marker. In 1999, Mrs. Hawtense Conrad donated $3,500 for placement of the new head stone that incorporates the original marker.

The West Volusia Historical Society invites you to visit Lue Gim Gong's grave located in Oakdale Cemetery. Enter the cemetery from the east gate and bear left to the southwest corner where the grave is located.
