For summer fun, children 8-12, will take a trip back into local history with an action-packed week of hand-on activities at the historic DeLand House Museum. "Mystery of History" campers will practice archeology, make folk toys, paint a bandana, create a puppet of a famous Delandite. Other activities will include a tour of the historic DeLand House, old-fashioned games, a downtown mural hike, pleine aire painting, storytelling by award-winning historian, Bill Dreggors, and more. The camp will meet June 21-25 from 9-3 daily. It is sponsored by the West Volusia Historical Society and limited to twenty campers. Suze Peace, a state certified art specialist, will be the teacher.

Activities to include: Photography Safari, Re-enactments of characters from West Volusia's colorful past, Pioneer crafts, mysteries of the St. Johns River, storytelling by local historian, Bill Dreggors, tour of the historic DeLand House, archeological digs, and much, much more.
